Mother's Blessing Ceremony
A Blessing way celebrates life, love, pregnancy and motherhood
Service Description
A Mother Blessing, inspired by traditional Native American ceremonies, celebrates life, love, pregnancy, and motherhood in a tranquil, sacred, and love-filled atmosphere. It honors healing, creation, harmony, and peace, paying tribute to the mother-to-be with deep spiritual intention. Our Blessing Way is a ceremony of empowerment, designed to honor, nourish, and nurture the mother while celebrating sisterhood and welcoming the new baby Earthside. Together, we create a supportive circle of encouragement and love. During the ceremony, guided by the natural flow of energy, you can expect the following elements: Surrounding the Mother-to-Be: Encircling her with her tribe, creating a space of support and unity. Grounding and Cleansing Ceremony: Using sage, water, or visualization to cleanse and prepare the sacred space. Ancestor Altar: Honoring the mothers in our lineages who have paved the way for this new life. Fruit Basket Offering: Bringing fruits collected by participants to nourish and bless the mother-to-be, symbolizing fertility and abundance. Tribe Circle: Introducing and connecting the tribe, forming a circle of support and connection. Creating Sacred Space: Invoking the elements and directions to sanctify the space and set intentions for birth. Intentions for Birth: Supporting the mother-to-be in setting her intentions and connecting deeply to her journey. Muva Blessing: Pampering and adorning the mother-to-be with positive and empowering energies, sharing stories, offering blessings, and presenting gifts that guide her on her path. Activities may include foot baths, Reiki sessions, storytelling, crafting a labor necklace, and more. Heart Sharing: Providing a space for the mother-to-be to share her thoughts and feelings. Collective Meal: Coming together to share a nourishing meal as a community. The standard fee for the ceremony is $1000. We also offer a sliding scale for low-income families to ensure accessibility and inclusivity. This fee covers: Gathering and purchasing supplies for the ceremony in advance, including flowers, thread, and altar items. Setting up and arranging the altar. Guiding the ceremony with care and reverence. Travel expenses as needed.
