As a mother of 6 with 5 lotus-born babies and 3 homebirths, I bring a wealth of personal and professional experience to my role as a Prenatal, Birth, and Postpartum Doula specializing in ancestral birthwork. I believe in offering a holistic and natural approach to birth that aligns with our first known language, Mother Nature. It is vital to connect back to the Earth and the energy and vibrations of the Universe.

Mother Nature, often referred to as Mother Earth or the Earth-mother, is a personification of the nurturing and life-giving aspects of nature. I call myself Muva Nature because I integrate modern knowledge with timeless wisdom to communicate life effectively.

My work is dedicated to helping families remember, reconnect, and reclaim cultural practices, ceremonial traditions, and kinship bonds in birthing our babies. This process is crucial in building the future, emphasizing not only the skills of a birth helper but also the deep ancestral knowledge and Indigenous traditions. I have extensively studied reproductive physiology, preconception health, and the vital support needed during pregnancy, labor, and birth.

Additionally, I focus on the reclamation of birth ceremonies and the revitalization of women's coming-of-age ceremonies and rites of passage, which assist in rebuilding lifeways and healing our communities. My expertise also includes storytelling, breastfeeding support, ancestral knowledge, and plant medicine making.

The most common definition of a doula is "a person trained to provide emotional, physical, and educational support to the pregnant woman and her support team prenatally and during labor and birth." My focus is on the pregnant woman, but it extends to include anyone who will be present during labor and birth. I do not take their place; rather, I complement their presence. Those closest to you are experts on you, while I am an expert on birth. Together, we combine our resources to form the perfect team for your birthing journey.
